INN and INV - Resiliency no longer means a “just-in-case” generator for the odd incident.  Developed-world grids are under increasing stress, and grid performance failure is increasingly common, not just on load-peaking hot summer days.  Natural catastrophes (cyclones and hurricanes, wild fires and earthquakes) strike suddenly and impact profoundly and indiscriminately.  Climate trends challenge distributed agriculture (droughts, harvested yield spoilage long before production gets to market). Less-developed grids struggle to meet demand, operationally or cost effectively, and certainly not sustainably.  Those at the “finger tips” of such grids, or those beyond the grid completely, are challenged disproportionately.  Electricity and water and all the inextricably interwoven tangencies that affect subsistence and prejudice opportunity.

The satellite image above (courtesy NASA Earth Observatory, September 8, 2017) captures from space the rolling sequential pummeling of Hurricanes Irma, Jose, and Katia.  Hurricane Maria followed not long after.  Renova Energy & Infrastructure, in collaboration with key partners, began shortly thereafter to design, optimize, and integrate  systems-of-systems suitable not only for general rural electrification purposes but also for specific situational events begging fast-response and fast-recovery energy.

Or better yet, pre-planning.

Ask us about our Rapid Deployment Hybrid MicroGrid (RDHM), and we’ve got other innovations and inventions in development.

SEP&IE - Energy consumers, large and small, pay high fees for peak electricity usage.  Technology is evolving, and business needs advance along with it.  High-tech mission-critical systems are becoming the norm in data-driven enterprises requiring consistent uptime and quality power. Life-safety is impacted in the dense high-rise urban environment and warrants better pro-active measures to address resilience.

Renova Energy & Infrastructure directly steps into and engages these dynamics, addressing crucial market shortcomings and direction, offering innovative engineered solutions.  REI additionally brings infrastructure development skills, cross-disciplinary knowledge, and partners to address technical markets and financial optionality.

Our approach for mission-critical markets (select data centers, pharmaceutical companies, manufacturing industry, and agribusinesses) is technology-agnostic, and driven by the context of the Energy EcoSystemat each site.  We challenge assumptions, think creatively, and with a measure of humility, we draw in best-in-class experts for the benefit of the analyses as well as for our clients.

Energy security.  Risk mitigation.  Local energy for local demand.  Energy predictability.  Integrated systems that pencil.

EVCSI - Renova Energy & Infrastructure has high-interest in electric mobility, and is tuning in to the EVCS Infrastructure markets, listening and learning, partnering and bringing a studied approach to a fast-evolving marketplace.  We’re conservative, and so we’re purposefully not diving in headlong.  But we believe there are dimensions and nuances of the E-mobility market that offer promise.

We don’t produce electric vehicles.  We don’t manufacture charging stations.  We don’t build switchgear, transformers, or distribution panels.  And we’re not a software company.  But at the intersection of the aforementioned and policy, practicality, and possibility, we believe there is a smart play here.  And it’s likely about things we’re good at.  Integration.  Optimization. Efficiency.

We’re thinking about design, flow, systems-of-systems and multiple value streams.  Fleet-level infrastructure and smart energy management.  Modularity and quality engineering.  Inter-operability and scalability.
